NPL Second Edition Expected to Generate Over Rs 35 Crore as Tournament Begins Monday

The Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League’s second edition is expected to raise over Rs 35 crore from sponsorships, team fees, OTT rights, and ticket sales as the tournament starts Monday.

Kathmandu — The second edition of the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) is expected to bring in more than Rs 35 crore as the tournament prepares to kick off on Monday.

Speaking at a press meet in Kathmandu on Saturday, NPL Secretary Paras Khadka said the event is shaping up to be one of Nepal’s most commercially successful cricket leagues. He noted that revenue from different sources is projected to surpass earlier estimates.

Revenue Breakdown

Organizers expect earnings from four main channels: Sponsorships: About Rs 15 crore 30 lakh , Participating Teams: Nearly Rs 9 crore , OTT Rights: Around Rs 5 crore 30 lakh ,Ticket Sales: Estimated between Rs 8 crore and Rs 12 crore, depending on turnout

Tournament Starts Monday

The league begins Monday, with floodlights installed for this edition to host evening matches and enhance the viewing experience for fans and players. Organizers say the upgraded infrastructure and strong commercial backing will help position the NPL as a long-term cricketing brand in Nepal.
