Kathmandu — Leaders and cadres of the CPN-UML and CPN (Unified Socialist) staged a demonstration on Wednesday, demanding the protection of Nepal’s constitution and a political way forward within its framework.
The protest took place outside the gate of Minbhawan Campus in Kathmandu. Participants included Unified Socialist Politburo member Sudesh Parajuli, former ANNFSU Chair Samik Kumar Badal, former Vice-Chair Govinda Giri, and ANNFSU (Unified Socialist-aligned) Chair Mahesh Shrestha.
Protesters carried placards and chanted slogans such as “Defend the Constitution” and “Seek solutions in line with constitutional provisions.”
Addressing the gathering, Parajuli said all political disputes should be resolved within the democratic framework and principles of the constitution.
“Only by seeking solutions on the basis of the constitution can the country achieve stability,” he stated.
