ANNFSU Accepts Sujan Kaderia’s Resignation, Appoints Deepak Dhami as New President

ANNFSU has endorsed the resignation of Sujan Kaderia and appointed Deepak Dhami as its new president, marking a significant leadership shift within the student organization.

The All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) has officially accepted the resignation of its president, Dr. Sujan Kaderia, and appointed General Secretary Deepak Dhami as the new head of the organization. The decision was made during Monday’s meeting of office-bearers.

Dr. Kaderia had resigned from his position on Bhadra 24 following the Gen-Z movement. Despite internal disagreements that surfaced afterward, the committee unanimously endorsed Dhami as the new president.

Kaderia’s Formal Exit and Appointment of New Leadership

The meeting also selected Vice President Anjana Sibakoti as the new General Secretary. In a Facebook post, Kaderia thanked the organization for formally approving his resignation, saying it marked the official conclusion of his involvement in student politics.

He stated that the day police opened fire on students during the Bhadra 23 protests had already signaled the end of his journey within ANNFSU.

Kaderia said he is now entering full-time party politics with complete dedication and expressed his commitment to work as a loyal cadre of the CPN-UML. He extended congratulations and best wishes to newly appointed president Dhami and the leadership team.

Leadership Transition and Kaderia’s Call for Unity

Kaderia emphasized that the leadership change occurred without any intervention from the mother party. He said the decision was unanimously endorsed by ANNFSU’s sovereign committee and urged student members across the country to respect and implement the conclusion.

With the appointment of Deepak Dhami and the formal exit of Sujan Kaderia, ANNFSU is expected to move beyond its internal dispute. As Kaderia steps into party politics, attention now turns to how Dhami will guide the organization in the days ahead.
