UML Leader Niraj Acharya Accuses Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal of Running Armed Gang

UML Central Committee member Niraj Acharya has accused Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal of leading a gang with looted weapons from the GenZ movement and urged Prime Minister Sushila Shree to remove him for inciting unrest.

Kathmandu — CPN-UML Central Committee member Niraj Acharya has accused Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal of operating a gang in possession of weapons, ammunition, and police uniforms looted during the GenZ movement.

In a Facebook post on Monday morning, Acharya strongly criticized Minister Aryal’s statement urging political parties to declare that escaped prisoners would not be used for political or anti-government activities.

Acharya claimed the Home Minister’s remarks were an attempt to conceal his alleged connection with the escaped prisoners. “The looted weapons, bullets, and police uniforms are with the gang run by the Home Minister himself. To cover up this fact, he is pressuring political parties to make unnecessary declarations,” he wrote.

He described Aryal’s statement as “regrettable” and accused him of promoting instability and violence through irresponsible comments. “If Prime Minister Sushila Shree’s government truly wants to ensure peace, order, and the election on Falgun 21, it should either dismiss the Home Minister or arrange for his medical evaluation,” Acharya added.

His statement comes amid growing political tension and public debate over the government’s handling of national security ahead of the upcoming elections.
