kathmandu — Following targeted U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, President Donald Trump addressed the nation, delivering a decisive ultimatum to Iranian leadership: choose between diplomacy or face severe consequences.

In his address, President Trump stated that the time had come for Iran to decide between pursuing a peaceful resolution through dialogue or confronting the repercussions of escalating conflict. “We seek peace, but we will not show weakness,” he said. “If Iran chooses defiance, the consequences will be serious.”

Trump warned that if Iran refuses to engage in talks, the U.S. is prepared to respond with stronger and more destructive military action. The President noted that the United States currently maintains a significant military presence in the Middle East, including strategically deployed warships, fighter jets, and other assets in critical areas.

Describing the recent strike as a “measured but necessary step,” Trump underscored that the United States is ready for further decisive action if required. However, he also emphasized that diplomatic channels remain open. “We support dialogue,” he said, “but true negotiations demand commitment. A strong response is not our first choice, but we will not hesitate if it becomes necessary.”

The situation has added new instability to the already tense Middle East region, as the international community urges both sides to exercise restraint. The central question now is whether Iran will engage in talks or ignore the warning and move further toward direct confrontation with the United States.
