The Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) is preparing to sit down with nine people who want to run in the upcoming by-election for the Rupandehi-3 seat.
The by-election is scheduled for Kartik 17 (November 3, 2025). So far, nine candidates have expressed their interest and applied to represent Raswapa. Their names are Sulabh Kharel, Parthivendra Upadhyay, Dr. Lekhjang Thapa, Gyanu Paudyal, Jit Bahadur Gupta, Kusum Maharjan, Rachana Kshetri, Punam Agrawal, and Madhu Prasad Aryal.
Deputy Chairman Bipin Kumar Acharya said the party will hold a meeting this Sunday at their central office in Chamatim from 1 PM to 5 PM to talk with the candidates and decide who will represent Raswapa.
The meeting will also be observed by Treasurer Lima Adhikari and Lumbini Provincial Assembly Speaker Devaraj Pathak. This by-election is taking place after the sudden passing of Dipak Bohara, who won this seat in the December 2022 election. His unfortunate death left the seat vacant.
Now, Raswapa is focused on picking the right candidate to take on this important role and bring fresh energy to Rupandehi-3’s political scene.
