Rastriya Swatantra Party Denies Link to Threats After Gen-Z Movement

Raswapa clarified it is not linked to alleged threats made in its name after the Gen-Z movement, calling for investigations and legal action against those responsible.

Kathmandu — The Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) has strongly denied any involvement in alleged threats and intimidation being carried out by certain groups and individuals in the aftermath of the Gen-Z movement.

Party spokesperson Manish Jha issued a statement on Thursday, making it clear that those attempting to misuse the party’s name for personal gain or to create fear cannot be affiliated with Raswapa.

According to the party, several businessmen, private sector representatives, judicial officials, and senior bureaucrats have reported receiving phone calls and text messages where unknown individuals invoked Raswapa’s name while issuing warnings. Jha said the party became aware of these incidents only recently and immediately felt the need to clarify its position.

“The Rastriya Swatantra Party has no role whatsoever in such unlawful acts. These are the actions of unwanted elements who are trying to exploit the current situation. We urge law-enforcement authorities to investigate thoroughly and take appropriate action against anyone found guilty,” Jha said in the press note.

By highlighting this issue publicly, Raswapa aims to ensure that neither its image nor its members are linked with intimidation tactics. The party reiterated that it values clean politics and transparency, and will fully cooperate with any official inquiry.
