Kathmandu — Former Prime Minister and main opposition leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that controversies frequently arise following every foreign visit made by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Speaking in the House of Representatives on Monday, Prachanda highlighted that serious criticisms and allegations of irregularities often emerge wherever Prime Minister Oli travels.
“Prime Minister Oli recently visited Spain, and once again, some reports have surfaced afterward. I am not making direct accusations, but the fact that controversies frequently occur around the places the Prime Minister visits is something he should take note of,” Prachanda said. He also recalled the controversies that arose during last year’s visit to the United States. “Several issues raised serious questions at that time,” he added.
Addressing ongoing news of corruption involving government ministers, Prachanda raised serious concerns about the Nepal government’s commitment to good governance. “How long will the government continue to see itself as a symbol of good governance while one minister after another faces allegations?” he asked in the House of Representatives.
