Gorkha — Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Chair of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre), has said that Gorkha can become the center of nationwide political transformation.
Speaking at a program in Palungtar on Monday focused on the Mid-Hill Highway campaign, Prachanda highlighted the district’s historical role. “Gorkha has always been a district of leadership. If the Maoists unite and rise collectively, we can secure decisive victories across the country,” he said.
Infrastructure and Development Priorities
Prachanda pledged to prioritize the Budhigandaki Hydropower Project, blacktopping the Dhule road, and establishing an industrial park, with resources ensured to advance these projects. According to him, such initiatives would strengthen not only Gorkha but also the wider province economically and socially.
He also recalled the agreement with China to establish an industrial zone in Palungtar. Prachanda reaffirmed his commitment to implementing the deal, expressing determination to develop Gorkha as a future industrial hub.
