Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli strongly denies false accusations regarding his recent Spain visit. He inaugurated a key 4.86 km road project in Damak supported by the World Bank and emphasized the government’s commitment to nationwide development and educational progress.

Jhapa — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has strongly rejected baseless allegations circulating about his recent Spain visit, calling them attempts to spread misinformation. Addressing the inauguration of the Madandangi–Tarabari–Dipu road upgrade project in Damak on Sunday, PM Oli affirmed the success of his official trip.

“The core purpose, outcomes, and respect Nepal earned in Spain are being ignored. False claims like ‘he left someone behind in Spain’ reflect the mindset of the critics,” said Oli. He dismissed these allegations as unfounded and emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to development.

The newly inaugurated 4.86-kilometer road in Damak Municipality is a flagship project supported by the World Bank. Built at a cost of NPR 442.4 million, it is one of 17 model infrastructure projects nationwide.

Infrastructure Expansion and Educational Improvements
PM Oli said the project’s timely completion highlights the government’s dedication and efficiency. He reiterated the government’s goal to develop infrastructure from Mechi in the east to Mahakali in the west as part of a nationwide campaign.

He also announced plans to construct an international-standard stadium in Damak’s Beldangi area. On education, Oli noted that free online classes, driven by volunteer efforts, have helped improve this year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results by 13 percent.

The event was attended by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal, Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki, and former Chief Ministers Sherdhan Rai and Uddhav Thapa.
