Four Nepali nationals have been found dead in the United States. The bodies were discovered on Thursday inside a house in the city of Manassas Park, located in the state of Virginia.
One Man, One Woman, and Two Children Among the Deceased
According to local media outlet NBCWashington.com, the deceased include a woman, a man, and two children.
All Victims Had Gunshot Wounds
NBC Washington, quoting police sources, reported that all four individuals were found with gunshot wounds.
Names of Adult Victims Released by Police
Authorities have identified the deceased adults as Santosh Pariyar and Anju Shrestha.
Names of Children Withheld
The names of the two children have not been released. According to police, the victims include an 8-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy.
Suspected Murder-Suicide
Police suspect the incident may be a case of murder followed by suicide. “This appears to be a murder-suicide. The case is under investigation,” stated a press release issued by Manassas Police following the incident.
Family Resided on Ground Floor of the House
The victims were residing on the ground floor of the house in Manassas Park.
Landlord Alerted Police After Suspicious Silence
The landlord contacted police after becoming suspicious. Officers arrived at the house around 10:40 PM on Thursday night and gained entry to the home.
Police Found All Four Dead at the Scene
Upon entering, police found the four bodies with gunshot wounds and immediately secured the scene to begin preliminary investigations.
Other Nepalis Living Nearby Also Questioned
NBC Washington reported that other Nepali nationals also reside in the area, and police have been questioning them as part of the investigation.
