Following the devastating flood in Rasuwa, the Government of Nepal has gone on high alert to assess the emerging crisis and related security concerns. In response, a special high-level security meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The meeting will be chaired by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and will include the chiefs of Nepal’s three main security agencies, senior representatives from the Nepal Army, and officials from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), according to a source from the ministry.
This emergency session underscores the government’s commitment to prioritizing public safety and implementing coordinated, effective response strategies. In light of the loss of life and property reported in Rasuwa, the need for immediate relief efforts and comprehensive disaster risk mitigation has become increasingly urgent.
