Madhav Kumar Nepal Says GenZ Support for His Party Is Increasing

Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal says GenZ attraction toward his party is growing as youths join from Kathmandu and beyond, citing anti-corruption commitments.

Biratnagar — Former Prime Minister and Nepali Communist Party co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal has claimed that the attraction of the new generation (GenZ) toward his party is steadily increasing.

Addressing a unity message assembly in Biratnagar on Monday, Nepal said that “GenZ warriors” from Kathmandu and various parts of the country have recently joined the party. “GenZ youths are showing interest in this party. Even those GenZ warriors who had been in dialogue with us have now joined our party,” Nepal said. “This party represents youth, women, Dalits, Indigenous groups, and ethnic communities.”

Nepal said his party has introduced a new approach to end corruption, misgovernance, mafia influence, and brokerage practices in the country. He urged party cadres to respond firmly if questions arise about the party. “We have turned many things once considered impossible into reality,” he said. “We must now move forward in a new way to end the trend of criminalization.”

Recalling Biratnagar’s historical significance, Nepal said leaders such as Man Mohan Adhikari, Bharat Mohan Adhikari, and Kamal Koirala emerged from the city. He also highlighted the unification of several parties in the past and the formation of a government under Man Mohan Adhikari’s leadership in 1994.

“Let us highlight the good work done by our prime ministers and ministers, and acknowledge weaknesses if they exist,” Nepal said. He added that the party is composed of capable individuals and instructed leaders and cadres to prepare for the next election with the goal of becoming the strongest force.

“There are no weaker individuals in this party compared to others. In the coming election, let us all work to secure the highest number of votes,” he said.
