Lalitpur Queens Re-Sign Thai Star Patratip Santrakun for Everest Women’s Volleyball League 2024 in Pokhara

Lalitpur Queens have confirmed the return of Thai star Patratip Santrakun for the Everest Women’s Volleyball League 2024 in Pokhara. After helping the team reach the final last year, she is determined to lift the trophy this season.

Lalitpur – Lalitpur Queens have re-signed Thai volleyball standout Patratip Santrakun for the second edition of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League. Santrakun was one of the key figures in the team’s run to the final last season, where the Queens narrowly missed out on the title. This time, she says the aim is clear — to go all the way.

“Last year we came close but couldn’t win, and that still hurts. This season we’re determined to correct those mistakes and bring the championship home,” she said. Santrakun described her first visit to Nepal last year as unforgettable, highlighting the energy and support of the local fans.

“The love and encouragement I received from the crowd was overwhelming. Failing to deliver the title felt like we let them down. This time, we’re confident we can give them the result they deserve,” she added.

The Queens believe her return makes the team stronger and expressed gratitude to Santrakun for committing to play in Nepal despite her demanding schedule. The second edition of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League will be held in Pokhara from September 5 to 13 (Bhadra 20–28). Lalitpur Queens say their target this year is not just to reach the final, but to lift the trophy.
