Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has confirmed that the School Education Bill will soon be presented in the parliament. Speaking during a budget discussion session in the House of Representatives, Oli expressed confidence that the bill will be passed swiftly.
“We will advance development by coordinating with all stakeholders, not just teachers. The School Education Bill will be introduced soon and will be passed quickly. Similar reforms will be implemented in the civil service,” said Oli.
He also assured that the government is actively addressing the issues faced by teachers, employees, professors, and students. The School Education Bill is currently in the final stages of review by the House’s Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee. After committee approval, it will be submitted to the parliament.
Lawmakers plan to introduce the bill in the House of Representatives before Ashad 15 (mid-July). The bill aims to reform Nepal’s school education system and respond to contemporary challenges.
