Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to meet former President Bidya Devi Bhandari this Sunday at 3 PM at the UML party’s central office in Chyasal. This important meeting between KP Sharma Oli and Bidya Devi Bhandari was confirmed by Rajkumar Rai, a personal aide to the former president.
Rai said, “They have arranged a meeting today.” However, Rajendra Gautam, who leads the UML’s publicity department, mentioned that the party has not yet received any official information about this meeting between Chairman Oli—who is also the Prime Minister—and former President Bhandari.
Although Bidya Devi Bhandari recently returned to active politics within the party, her membership renewal is still pending. Chairman Oli clarified during the fourth Politburo meeting that her party membership has not been renewed. The two leaders are expected to talk about Bhandari’s political return ahead of the upcoming UML Central Committee meeting.
The UML Central Committee will meet on Monday, where this issue is expected to be a key topic. Political observers believe Bhandari’s active role could bring fresh energy to the party.
