Kathmandu — CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Sudan Kirati has called for the immediate formation of an interim government and the appointment of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as its head.
Expressing his views on social media on Friday, Kirati highlighted the urgent need to address Nepal’s current political instability and sensitive circumstances through a legitimate solution. According to him, the only way to safeguard the constitution and prevent foreign interference is by implementing the proposal advanced by the Gen Z movement to establish an interim administration.
“In this extraordinary situation, political parties and state institutions must take responsibility to lead the nation out of crisis. For that, Sushila Karki should be sworn in without delay as the head of the interim government,” Kirati stated.
He further stressed that forming an interim government is the sole option to give the youth-led movement a constitutional pathway, urging political forces to make a serious decision in this direction.
