JSP Nepal to Begin Nationwide Protest Program from Wednesday

JSP Nepal will begin a nationwide series of protest programs starting Wednesday, including public outreach events, sit-ins, rallies, and district-level gatherings.

The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal will begin a nationwide series of protest programs starting Wednesday. The decision follows a recent meeting of the party’s Central Executive Committee, which resolved to publicize its key demands and national agendas before initiating the protests.

According to Purna Basnet, Chief of the Party Publicity Department, JSP Nepal will submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister through district administration offices on Wednesday as part of the first phase of the campaign.

The party has announced that from November 27 to December 1 (Mangsir 11–15), it will conduct public outreach activities, protests, and corner meetings in various towns and marketplaces across all parliamentary constituencies.

JSP Nepal has also scheduled peaceful sit-in demonstrations in front of district administration offices on December 4 and 6 (Mangsir 19 and 21), where members will display placards and banners outlining the party’s demands and concerns.

In addition, the party will organize district-level protest assemblies and mass gatherings from December 12 to December 19 (Mangsir 27 – Poush 4).

As part of its province-level demonstrations, the following rallies have been confirmed:

December 27 (Poush 12) – Biratnagar

December 29 (Poush 14) – Janakpur

December 30 (Poush 15) – Birgunj

January 2 (Poush 17) – Bhairahawa

Basnet added that district and provincial committees may independently plan additional protest activities as needed.
