Janardan Sharma Announces 31-Member Coordination Committee for Progressive National Campaign

Janardan Sharma has announced the 31-member central coordination committee of the Progressive National Campaign, appointing former minister Sudan Kirati as coordinator.

Kathmandu — Janardan Sharma, who recently announced his departure from the then CPN (Maoist Centre) and launched the Progressive National Campaign, has unveiled the campaign’s central coordination committee.

Sharma’s group declared a separate path after expressing dissatisfaction over the unification process among left-wing parties, including the Maoist Centre and the CPN (Unified Socialist). The announcement was made on Thursday during a press conference in Kathmandu. Former minister Sudan Kirati has been appointed coordinator of the central committee.

The committee includes Kirati along with Gehendra Dhakal, Madan Bhattarai, Narayani Sharma, Madan Limbu, Bhim Bahadur Malla, and Sanjana Rai.

Other members include Gorkha Bahadur KC, Pujan Singh, Arvind Yadav, Jatil Karki, Laxmi Gurung, Deviram Devkota, Prakash Chandra Pande, Janmadev Jaishi, Raju Alemagar, and Tekendra Bhatt.

Similarly, the committee features Santosh Bista, Dipak Saud, Prem Bahadur Tamang, Pushpa Nyaupane, Yagyavallabh Sharma, Dr. Achyut Bhatt, Khitij Sapkota, Bimala Singh, Baburam Nepali, Nirmala Gautam, Kismat Kumar Bik, Ramhari Pudasaini, Sandip Pun, and Dharmaraj Khatri, totaling 31 members.
