Kathmandu — Infrastructure and Transport Minister Devendra Dahal has called for greater use of digital technology to manage traffic in the Kathmandu Valley more effectively. He spoke on Monday at a program in Lalitpur organized by JICA, where a study on traffic management was shared.
Minister Dahal said Nepal must take advantage of advances in technology and adopt innovative approaches to provide faster and better traffic services. “Traditional methods alone are no longer enough to deliver quality service,” he noted.
He also highlighted that no single ministry or agency can solve traffic problems alone. Cooperation and coordination between different government bodies are essential to improving traffic management, the minister said.
Minister Dahal thanked JICA and other donor agencies for their ongoing support of Nepal’s development efforts and expressed hope for continued collaboration in the future.
