Kathmandu – Resham Lal Chaudhary, the patron of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Baluwatar on Monday. During the meeting, Chaudhary expressed strong objection to the removal of Rameshwar Chaudhary, a minister from Sudurpaschim Province representing the party, stating that the dismissal was carried out without any clear justification.
Chaudhary also hinted that the party may reconsider its support for the federal government, suggesting a possible shift in the party’s current political alignment.
Earlier as well, both Resham Chaudhary and party Chairperson Ranjita Shrestha had expressed dissatisfaction over the dismissal of the Sudurpaschim minister. At that time, they had warned of withdrawing their support from the government and sitting in opposition.
This latest development has created a ripple effect in the political landscape of the Sudurpaschim Province and has added further uncertainty to the ruling coalition at the federal level.
