Kathmandu — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has called on civil servants to put service recipients at the center of their work, delivering services in an efficient and results-driven manner.
Speaking at a program in the capital on Sunday to mark Civil Service Day, Singh stressed that the administrative mechanism must take on greater responsibility in nation-building.
He said achieving the national vision of “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali” depends on the civil administration effectively implementing government policies, programs, and budgets. According to him, the active involvement of civil servants is essential to break public frustration and restore hope and confidence among citizens.
Singh noted that the government has placed federalism, improved service delivery, and zero tolerance against corruption at the core of its agenda, while upholding the spirit of the Constitution. He emphasized that the civil administration must turn these priorities into action.
The Deputy Prime Minister also expressed confidence that the Civil Service Bill—aimed at strengthening intergovernmental administrative relations under the federal structure—will be endorsed by Parliament soon.
He said the bill, prepared in line with employee demands and expectations, is expected to advance through political consensus and help reinforce administrative federalism.
