New Delhi: It’s been a tense few days for schools across Delhi. In the span of just three days, at least ten schools and one college in the capital have received bomb threats through email, throwing students, parents, and staff into a state of fear and uncertainty.
The most recent scare came early Thursday morning. Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar got a chilling email around 4:55 AM claiming there was a bomb planted on the campus. The school alerted authorities immediately. Within minutes, police teams, bomb squads, firefighters, and dog units were on the scene, searching every corner of the school.
Thankfully, nothing suspicious was found. The Delhi Fire Services later confirmed that no bomb was discovered, but the investigation is still ongoing.
A similar threat was also sent to Abhinav Public School in Rohini, and again, emergency teams responded quickly. Just like the others, it turned out to be a hoax — but the fear and disruption it caused were very real.
In the meantime, security has been tightened at schools citywide. Police presence around campuses has increased, and all suspicious activity is being closely monitored.
