Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari Returns to Active Politics in CPN-UML

Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has declared her return to active politics by renewing her membership with Nepal’s CPN-UML, aiming to contribute to the party’s growth and serve the nation.

Kathmandu — Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has announced her return to active politics within the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), or CPN-UML. She made this declaration on Saturday during an event organized by the Madan Bhandari Foundation to commemorate the 74th birth anniversary of Madan Bhandari.

Dedicated to the service of the nation and its people, Bhandari informed that she has renewed her party membership. “I have played different roles in my political journey, but I wish to continue contributing within the CPN-UML. It is with this goal in mind that I have renewed my party membership,” she said.

Bhandari’s decision is viewed as an injection of fresh energy into the CPN-UML and is expected to strengthen the party’s activities.
