A domestic violence case in Bhojpur, Nepal, has left four family members dead. Police say the accused confessed to the killings during a late-night call.

Bhojpur, Nepal — A heart-wrenching incident has shaken Bhojpur District, where four members of the same family were found dead in a suspected domestic violence case. The tragedy occurred in Ward No. 2 of Dhodlekhani, a rural municipality in Bhojpur.

Preliminary investigations by police suggest that Rajendra Rai, a local resident, allegedly killed four of his in-laws during a domestic dispute. The suspect himself informed police of the crime. “At around 1 a.m. on Saturday night, he called the police control room and confessed to the crime he had committed.”

When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they discovered the lifeless bodies of four individuals. According to police sources, the victims were identified as 68-year-old Bel Bahadur Giri, his 45-year-old wife Manju Giri, their 16-year-old daughter Manisha Giri, and their 9-year-old son Sapan Giri.

Rai is believed to have used a sharp weapon in the attack. Preliminary findings suggest that all four victims died due to severe injuries inflicted with the weapon. Police say Rai attacked his father-in-law Bel Bahadur, mother-in-law Manju, wife Manisha, and brother-in-law Sapan during the violent incident.

Authorities have taken Rai into custody. He was found injured, with wounds to his abdomen, and has been admitted to a local hospital for treatment. Further investigation is ongoing.

The local community has been left in shock. What appeared to be a domestic dispute escalated into a fatal attack, leaving residents deeply disturbed. Authorities say the full motive behind the killings will be known after a detailed investigation.
