ANNFSU Chairman Sujan Kaderia Faces Backlash Over Resignation Reversal

ANNFSU Chairman Dr. Sujan Kaderia’s decision to retract his resignation has sparked serious discontent. Provincial leaders argue his actions weaken the student body and call for responsible leadership.

Kathmandu – ANNFSU Chairman Dr. Sujan Kaderia had announced his resignation on social media at the height of the recent student movement. However, only a few days later, he reversed his decision and declared that he would continue as chairman. This move has sparked serious discontent within the student organization.

Provincial Leaders Express Dissatisfaction

Six district presidents and in-charges from Bagmati Province jointly issued a letter of concern, stating that it is unacceptable for a leader to step down during a decisive phase of the movement and then attempt to return once the situation calms down. According to them, such behavior undermines both the credibility and the future of the organization.

Questions Over Leadership and Demand for Change

The letter criticized the act of “abandoning responsibility, remaining silent, or spreading discouraging messages at a time when leadership should stand firm and guide the organization.” It argued that these actions weakened the student body. The letter further alleged that Kaderia’s conduct disregarded the mandate he had received through the general convention and devalued the sacrifices of student martyrs who laid down their lives during the movement.

Provincial leaders have demanded an immediate meeting to hand over the organization to responsible and active leadership. They stressed that safeguarding the organization’s dignity and ensuring its future now requires clear vision and decisive leadership.
