Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli Inaugurates Bhagiratha Nyaupane Hospital in Jhapa

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated the newly established Bhagiratha Nyaupane Hospital in Budhabare, Jhapa, aiming to improve rural healthcare access.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has officially inaugurated the newly constructed Bhagiratha Nyaupane Hospital in Budhabare, located in Buddhashanti Rural Municipality. The 10-bed facility is Nepal’s first basic health institution named in honor of the late Bhagiratha Nyaupane, a respected former Pradhan Panch.

The hospital is expected to provide medical services to approximately 400 patients daily, aiming to significantly improve healthcare access in the region.

Speaking at the inauguration, Prime Minister Oli praised the contribution of Bhagiratha Nyaupane’s descendants, who donated the land for the hospital’s construction. He highlighted the values upheld by past generations and emphasized the importance of contributing to society. “No one takes anything with them after death,” he said. “Let us all be inspired by Bhagiratha’s legacy and become more engaged in social service.”

He also affirmed the government’s commitment to support the hospital’s future capacity expansion and service enhancement.

Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to attend various programs in Jhapa and Ilam today and tomorrow. Local officials and residents have expressed confidence that the newly established health facility will bring significant improvements to the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
